While TEMPLESPA excels at creating exceptional, Mediterranean-inspired products that nourish your skin from the outside in, true skin health also comes from within.
That’s why this post kicks off my collection of TEMPLESPA-themed recipes; some just for fun and others promoting healthy skin, designed to complement your routine and help you nourish your body and glow from the inside out.
I originally started with these recipies collated in one post but when that began to get a little clunky I elected to streamline the content and so, here we are.
This post now serves as the introduction to and (eventually) the index of all of the TEMPLESPA themed, recipie-related content I curate and share here.

Follow along for more recipies and updates as I re-collate my original list! For now though, I’m leading with a couple of examples for healthy snacking and mindful hydration.
Healthy Snacking

Any of these will help stave off hunger pangs and boost your energy and/or mood between your main meals.
- mini pot of hummus and crudités
- 30g raw almonds (that’s about 20)
- healthy, homemade popcorn
- 2 oatcakes with a little peanut butter
- 2 rice cakes with some smashed avocado
Mindful Hydration

Not really a recipe but a great way to stay hydrated whilst engaging with a really simple exercise, involving nothing more than a glass of water. It’s best done when you have a few minutes to yourself and also when you are not feeling really thirsty. Take each step very slowly, allowing your mind to be absorbed by your different senses.⠀

1. Pour yourself a glass of water.â €
2. Before you take a sip, let your attention rest on the glass.â €
3. Look at how the water sits in the glass, how the light reflects upon the different surfaces.â €
4. Feel the glass’s smoothness and shape. Notice its temperature.⠀
5. When you bring the glass to your mouth, notice how it feels against your lips. â €
6. Slowly take a sip of water and hold it in your mouth. â €
7. Notice any subtle flavours or sensations on your tongue. â €
8. Notice how the water changes temperature in your mouth.â €
9. When you swallow the water, think about how the water is flowing through your body, hydrating and replenishing it.â €
10. Once you have swallowed the water, take a slow, deep breath and start again.â €
11. Try doing this exercise for five or ten minutes, and then finish any remaining water.â €

If you find your attention wandering, just notice where it has gone before gently bringing it back to the glass of water. â €

You can do this exercise with other drinks if you prefer; it can be helpful to vary the experience with different colours and flavours.â €
