Sharing Skincare, Simply
Every so often, someone asks how I started with TEMPLESPA.
It’s usually in passing. A message after a post. A quiet conversation after an order. And I find myself giving a short version of a longer answer.
So here is the longer answer.
I hadn’t been using the products for years. It was only a matter of months.
But in that short time, I realised something.
I was reaching for them daily. Talking about them without thinking. Recommending them because I genuinely rated them, not because I was trying to sell anything.
They fitted into my routines naturally. They aligned with my values. Cruelty-free mattered to me. Quality mattered to me. The sensory side of skincare, the ritual of it, that mattered too.
At some point I realised I was already sharing them.
Becoming a Consultant didn’t feel like a dramatic leap. It just formalised something I was already doing.
What This Is Not
Let me say this clearly.
This is not boss babe culture.
It is not copy-and-paste scripts.
It is not pressuring friends.
It is not building a giant team for the sake of it.
It is not promising people the moon.
If that is what you are looking for, I am not your person.
I do not recruit aggressively.
I do not chase.
I do not oversell.
That is intentional.
What It Actually Looks Like
In simple terms:
- You are self-employed.
- You earn commission on what you sell.
- There are no guarantees.
- What you earn depends on what you do.
There is training. There is support. There are systems in place. You are not left to work it out alone.
You can work online. You can do in-person classes. You can do a mixture. You do not have to hold stock.
Some people treat it as a hobby and cover their own products.
Some build a steady part-time income.
A smaller number build something larger.
It depends entirely on your goals and your consistency.
No drama. No magic formula.
Why It Worked For Me
It fitted around my life.
That is the most honest answer.
I wanted flexibility. I wanted something I could shape myself. I wanted to earn without stepping back into something rigid and corporate.
It allowed me to:
- Share something I genuinely use
- Build slowly
- Stay aligned with my values
- Keep control of my pace
It has never been about chasing titles or building empires. It has been about creating something steady and sustainable.
That matters to me.
Who It Might Suit
It might suit you if:
- You already love skincare and well-being
- You prefer conversation over hard selling
- You are comfortable being consistent
- You are realistic about effort and reward
- You want flexibility
It may not suit you if you want instant results, guaranteed income, or something entirely passive.
Honesty helps everyone.
About the Culture
There is a lot of noise online about direct selling.
Some of the criticism is fair. Some of it comes from bad experiences. Some of it comes from watching people behave in ways that feel uncomfortable.
All I can say is how I run my business.
Calmly.
Without pressure.
Without exaggerated claims.
Without messaging people I barely know.
If I ever felt it no longer aligned with my values, I would step away.
That is important to me.
If You’re Curious
If you have ever wondered what this actually looks like, behind the posts and product photos, I am happy to talk it through.
Not to convince you.
Not to close you.
Just to explain it properly.
We can look at:
- What the Discovery Kit includes
- What commission actually looks like
- How people tend to start
- How it might fit around your life
If it feels right, lovely.
If it doesn’t, that is absolutely fine.
There is no pressure attached to a conversation.
A Final Thought
If you ever choose to work with me, I will support you properly.
If you choose not to, I will still respect you completely.
This only works if it aligns with who you are.
And that matters more than anything.
